Blake Lively is making a splash in the sparkling beverages category. She’s teamed up with husband Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort to produce the first-ever ad campaign for her health-conscious fizzy drink Betty Buzz.

Betty Buzz, a new non-alcoholic sparkling beverage created by Blake Lively, has launched its first-ever ad campaign.

The campaign’s hero film is a cheeky 30-second spot starring the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress, who talks viewers through her vision for creating Betty Buzz. “When I first started Betty Buzz, I set out to create the best-tasting sparkling drink out there,” she says. Explaining that Betty Buzz is made with real fruit and “no junk,” she cracks a bottle and viewers hear and see the classic effervescence of a carbonated drink.

“But I had one principle,” says Lively, as a hidden machine blasts countless bubbles into the air around her. “Anyone want to have a guess?” The star looks increasingly flustered as the bubbles begin to overwhelm her. “There can never be too many bubbles.” Finally, fed up with the whole ordeal, she’s seen walking off set. “Okay, we’re good, yeah. Yeah, I think we made our point.”

The playful spot was concepted and produced with help from husband Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort — which was acquired last year by connected television firm MNTN. Maximum Effort is the team behind hilarious ads for many of Reynolds’ own investments, including his brand Aviation American Gin, Match (on whose board he sits) and Mint Mobile (in which he owns a majority stake).

Betty Buzz first launched last fall after three years in development. The beverage, which comes in five flavors including Sparkling Grapefruit and Meyer Lemon, is touted as an enjoyable mixer for cocktails or as a delicious and health-conscious beverage on its own. The product is made with real fruit juices and does not include artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.

Blake Lively has spoken publicly about why she doesn't drink alcohol as recently as December. She's implied that the health effects of alcohol have turned her off to drinking, but has said that she enjoys socializing — which to some degree inspired her to create Betty Buzz.

Betty Buzz is available to consumers via major retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Safeway, Albertson’s, Sprouts and more.
